CATS.i

The CATS.i (or CATSeye Mk2)

The device has all the functionality of the original CATSeye device but it is laid out in a completely different format.

Rather than being stacked like a sandwich, with different components being laid on top of one another, the unit is laid out side by side so that the overall depth of the device is reduced to less than 5mm (including plastics).

This format allows us to hide or deploy the unit into many more applications than all traditionally boxed tracking units, including laptops, plasma TV screens and non-conventional items such as clothing and backpacks etc. It also enables us to create a completely sealed unit which means that it is waterproof! On top of this, the unit does not incorporate a GSM Sim card but instead a GSM sim Chip. This means that the unit can be sold with the knowledge that potential customer do not have to get involved with contracts or replacing SIM cards or batteries etc.

The technical specification document is available upon request as the product is still in the prototype stage and some of its proprietry IP is still confidential. But here are the basics.

Asset Tracking

Although the original CATSeye leant itself well to the tracking of laptops and plasma TV's etc because of its small size, the CATS.i can fit or be hidden in so many more places and enviroments because of its unique layout.

There are very few situations where a standard stacked device can be deployed and a CATS.i cannot. The aim therefore is to create a completely one-stop-shop device that will track almost anything.

Personal Tracking (clothing)

Hiding or secreting GPS tracking devices inside clothing has until now been almost impossible without obvious detection. With the CATS.i unit, it is very hard to feel or detect during a quick search and is almost undetectable when being worn. Because of its waterproof enclosure it lends itself perfectly to wet-weather clothing or even being put through a full wash cycle.

Powered either by solar material or externally by way of a waterproof charging point, the CATS.i is the nearest we can get to a perfect personal protection.
